Joey’s Final Episodes Now Available in US After 20 Years
US fans of Friends can finally watch the last eight episodes of ill-fated spin-off ‘Joey’, starring Matt LeBlanc, after NBC cancelled the show mid-way through season two in 2006. These episodes, unseen for two decades in the US, are now available on the Friends YouTube channel. ‘Joey’ followed the beloved character’s journey in Los Angeles, but suffered poor ratings, ending after two seasons. The pilot drew 18.6 million viewers but dropped to 7.1 million by season two. Cast members included Jennifer Coolidge and Drea de Matteo. Fans left emotional comments, cherishing memories and expressing gratitude for finally seeing the finale. International viewers (including UK audiences) had already seen all episodes. On Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Joey’ earned 50% compared to Friends’ 78%. The release closes a long wait for US fans of the Friends universe.
