A US congressional panel investigating the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein has demanded key documents from the executors of his estate, including a controversial “birthday book” reportedly compiled for his 50th birthday. The request, issued by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, signals a new phase in efforts to uncover Epstein’s network and associates. According to a Wall Street Journal report, the book—created by Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003—contained messages and notes from acquaintances. One entry allegedly carried the name of Donald Trump, then a friend of Epstein. Trump strongly denied the claim, calling it “fake” and launching defamation proceedings against the Journal’s parent company, Dow Jones, and its owner, Rupert Murdoch.
