Chief Imam of Owo, Sheikh Aladesawe, dies at 91
The Chief Imam of Owo, Alhaji Ahmad Oladoke Aladesawe, has passed away at the age of 91. His death was confirmed on Monday evening at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, according to Alhaji Kamorudeen Ishola, a Muslim leader in the town. Aladesawe, who also served as Chairman of the Ondo State League of Imams and Alfas, was widely respected as a distinguished Islamic scholar and community leader who dedicated his life to the growth of Islam in Nigeria. He is scheduled to be buried in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Tuesday by 2 p.m., in line with Islamic rites.
