Zelensky warns of air defence supply risks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that escalating conflict in the Middle East could jeopardize Ukraine’s access to critical air defence systems. He said the growing military demands in the region may divert both weapons supplies and political attention away from Kyiv’s fight against Russia. In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Zelensky explained that the United States and its Middle Eastern partners may prioritize their own defence needs, particularly advanced systems such as Patriot missiles. He acknowledged the risk that Washington and the European Union could shift focus from Ukraine if the crisis involving Iran expands into a prolonged war.
