APC’s Danjuma Shekwolo wins Kuje area council chairmanship

All Progressives Congress candidate Danjuma Shekwolo has been declared winner of the Kuje Area Council chairmanship election in the Federal Capital Territory. He secured 17,269 votes to defeat his closest rivals in the poll. Announcing the result, Returning Officer Prof Nkiruka Odoh of the University of Abuja said Shekwolo, having scored the highest number of lawful votes and met all legal requirements, was duly elected and returned as council chairman. The declaration of the Kuje result completes the announcement of winners for chairmanship positions across the six FCT area councils. With this outcome, the APC now controls Kuje along with other councils won in Saturday’s elections.
