Teniola Aladese urges women to live independently before marriage
Actress Teniola Aladese has stressed the importance of women achieving independence before marriage, calling it a crucial foundation for a successful union. Speaking on the “That’s What She Said” podcast, she said women who live alone before tying the knot better understand their preferences, boundaries and responsibilities. Aladese noted that many women move straight from their parents’ homes to their husbands’ houses without any prior experience of independent living. She warned that this can lead to culture shock, emotional strain and, in some cases, regret when unexpected habits and mannerisms surface in marriage.
