W’Cup Mishap: Green Passes Vote of No Confidence in Administrators

Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Chris Green, has harshly criticised Nigerian football administrators at The Big Sports Dialogue in Lagos following the Super Eagles’ disappointing World Cup playoff exit. Green described the nation’s football leadership as incompetent, arguing that a lack of technical expertise and recycling of the same unqualified personnel are holding back the sport’s progress. Green and other stakeholders—including Babatunde Fashola, Shehu Dikko, Bukola Olopade, Aisa Falode, Amaju Pinnick, Mike Itemuagbor, Igoche Mark, and Dr. Reuben Abati—joined calls for urgent reforms.
