Police confirm abduction of four in Oyo, launch rescue mission
The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of four persons by suspected bandits along the Igbeti–Kishi Road in Oyo State. Police Public Relations Officer Ayanlade Olayinka said the victims were travelling in a vehicle on the route when the attackers struck and forced them into the bush. He noted that the case was immediately reported to the command, prompting a swift security response. According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has ordered a coordinated search and rescue operation involving police tactical teams, other security agencies and local vigilante groups. The teams are carrying out sustained bush combing and patrols around identified flashpoints in the area.
