15 Granted Bail Over Arson Attack on EC Office at Asuboi,
The Osino District Court in Ghana’s Eastern Region has granted bail to 15 individuals accused of burning the Electoral Commission (EC) office in Asuboi, Ayensuano Constituency. The incident occurred on December 10, 2024, following protests by a group called the Ayensuano Concerned Youth after the declaration of Ida Adwoa Asiedu as MP-elect.The accused were each granted bail at GH₵20,000 with one surety, despite opposition from Prosecuting Detective Chief Inspector Kamal Salifu Gumah, who expressed concerns about ongoing investigations.
