Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine says he escaped a night‑time raid on his home by police and army personnel, hours after rejecting early election results that show President Yoweri Museveni heading for another term in office. In a post on X, the former pop star, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi, said security forces stormed his residence, cut power and disabled some CCTV cameras before he managed to flee. Wine said he is now in an undisclosed location while his wife and family remain effectively under house arrest, surrounded by soldiers and police.
