Terrorists abduct travellers on major Kwara highway
Suspected terrorists have attacked the busy Isanlu–Isin–Omu Aran highway in Kwara State, abducting at least four passengers in an early morning ambush. The road is a key route linking communities in Kwara South to the state capital, Ilorin, and is heavily used by commercial drivers and commuters. Witnesses said the gunmen, believed to be bandits, emerged from the bush, stopped vehicles and forced travellers out at gunpoint before whisking several victims to an unknown location. Residents reported that the attackers operated without resistance and warned that armed groups have been roaming the area for days, targeting motorists heading towards Ilorin.
