Expectant mothers at Yeji Matthias Hospital in the Pru East District are reportedly being forced to deliver their babies on the bare floor, due to severe overcrowding and a lack of space in the hospital’s labour ward. The disturbing situation has sparked public outrage and urgent appeals from healthcare workers, residents, and local authorities for immediate government intervention. According to Adom News reporter Daniel Tachie, the hospital’s medical team says the current labour ward is too small to accommodate the growing number of deliveries.
