NAHCON Cuts 2026 Hajj Fare, Pilgrims to Save ₦200,000
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced reduced fares for the 2026 pilgrimage to Mecca, with each pilgrim expected to save an average of ₦200,000 compared to last year. NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, disclosed the new pricing after the commission signed service agreements with Saudi Arabia’s Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya (Hajj Service Provider) and Daleel Al-Ma’aleem (Transportation Company). According to the commission, fares will range between ₦8.1 million and ₦8.5 million, depending on the departure zone. Maiduguri-Yola Zone (Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, Taraba): ₦8,118,333.67, down by about ₦209,000 from the 2025 fare of ₦8,327,125.59.
