Kaduna State Commissioner of Information-designate, Ahmed Maiyaki, has said the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) victory in the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency by-election reflects the people’s confidence in Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive and people-focused leadership. Speaking to journalists in Kaduna on Sunday after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results, Maiyaki described the win as both “historic and symbolic,” breaking the trend in a constituency that had long resisted the APC. INEC declared the APC winner with 34,580 votes, ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (11,491 votes), the African Democratic Congress (3,477 votes), and the Social Democratic Party (142 votes).
