GNFS Gives Osu Businesses One-Week Fire Safety Ultimatum

The Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Daniella Mawusi Ntow, has issued a one-week ultimatum to selected institutions in Accra to fully comply with fire safety regulations. The affected facilities include Total Energies, Ecobank, and Papaye, all located in the Osu area. Officer Ntow said compliance officers will return after one week to conduct follow-up inspections to verify that all required safety measures have been implemented. The directive is part of a surprise fire safety enforcement exercise being carried out by the GNFS across parts of Accra ahead of the rollout of the government’s 24-hour Economy initiative.
