Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Issue 3-Day Ultimatum to Foreign Traders
The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association has given foreign traders operating in the enclave three days to close their shops or face enforcement action. According to the Association, the activities of these traders violate Ghana’s investment laws, distort fair competition, and threaten the survival of local businesses. Speaking at a press conference in Accra, the General Secretary, Gifty Lovelock Naana Fianu, explained that if authorities fail to act, the group will enforce Section 27(1) of the GIPC Act, 2013 (Act 865), including through citizens’ arrest if necessary. “We are giving them three days.
