Nathaniel Johnson, President of the Ghana Karate-Do Federation, is contesting for one of three co-opted member slots on the new GOC Board, bringing with him a strong track record of hands-on leadership and a passion for institutional accountability. Alex Ntiamoah, CEO of Box Office Sports Promotions, shared the sacrifices he made to organize the much-anticipated 2014 boxing match between Braimah Kamoko (Bukom Banku) and Michael Ayitey Okine (Ayitey Powers).Speaking on JoySports Link, Ntiamoah revealed that after signing contracts with the fighters, many sponsors withdrew their support, leaving him financially strained. Determined to fulfill his commitments, he sold his car and land and sought assistance from friends to fund the event.The bout, held at the Accra Sports Stadium, attracted massive attention nationwide, drawing large crowds and media coverage. Despite the financial loss, Ntiamoah expressed pride in the fight's role in elevating Ghanaian boxing to a higher level.
