ECG to Pilot Smart Pre-Payment System in Volta Region in 2025.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is set to launch a new pre-payment system for non-smart prepaid meter users in the Volta Region. The system will allow customers to purchase credit conveniently using a Brassica prepaid card reader and the Brassica App, eliminating the need to visit vendors.Christina Kaleo-Jatoe, ECG's General Manager for the Volta and Oti Regions, announced that the pilot will start in the first quarter of 2025 with 200 meters in the Ho and Hohoe districts.
