Anaesthetist Saves Pregnant Trader at Kasseh Market
A principal certified registered anaesthetist, Ms. Harriet Oteng, has been praised for her swift action in saving the life of a pregnant trader who collapsed at Kasseh Market in the Ada East District. The woman, identified as Madam Grace Siawu from Sege, was later admitted to the Ada East District Hospital, where she safely delivered a healthy baby boy following Ms. Oteng’s intervention. With 13 years of professional experience, Ms. Oteng told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that she came across the distressed woman shortly after work. She quickly administered first aid before rushing her to the hospital. “She collapsed and was sweating profusely, struggling to breathe, and unable to speak,” Ms. Oteng recalled.
