Former GM Admits Company Lacked Full Documentation for Tano Nimiri Forest Operations
The former General Manager of Akonta Mining Company Limited, Edward Akwasi Akuoko, has publicly admitted that the company did not complete all required documentation before commencing operations in the Tano Nimiri Forest Reserve. In an exclusive interview on Adom TV’s Badwam program, Mr. Akuoko revealed that this fact will form part of his testimony as a prosecution witness in the ongoing Akonta Mining trial. He added that Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi and owner of Akonta Mining, acknowledged this lapse during court proceedings.
