Ghana’s Airspace Safe, Says AIB
The Acting Commissioner of the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB), John M. K. Wumborti, has reassured the public that Ghana’s airspace remains safe, despite recent aviation incidents, including a Z-9 helicopter crash and emergency landings. Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Mr. Wumborti explained that aviation in Ghana is backed by strict regulations and robust safety protocols. “Before an aircraft moves, it is not child’s play. What goes into preparing an aircraft for takeoff ensures passengers have 99.999% certainty of reaching their destination safely,” he stressed.
