Tamale High Court Annuls Kpandai Parliamentary Election Results
The Tamale High Court has nullified the parliamentary election results for the Kpandai constituency and instructed the Electoral Commission to conduct a fresh poll within 30 days. The ruling was delivered by Justice Emmanuel Brew Plange after a successful petition challenging the credibility of the December 7, 2024 election. The petition was filed by NDC candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal, who argued that the election was compromised by major irregularities. He cited inconsistencies in Form 8A—commonly called the pink sheet—from 41 out of 152 polling stations. According to him, these breaches violated Regulations 39 and 43 of the Public Elections Regulations (CI 127). The court agreed, ruling that the level of non-compliance materially affected the integrity of the results.
