Adabraka Jewellery Robbery: Court Remands Key Suspect
An Accra Circuit Court has remanded Salim Mohammed, also known as Fariwata, the key suspect linked to the 2024 daylight robbery at a jewellery shop in Adabraka, where GH₵7.5 million was stolen during a gold transaction. Mohammed, a 26-year-old unemployed man, is accused of taking part in the robbery on November 2, 2024, when the cash was being transported to a bank. Police say the attack was carefully planned and executed with six other accomplices who remain at large. According to prosecutors, Mohammed was arrested on November 20, 2025, at a hospital in Ashaiman, where he had gone to seek medical treatment.
