Ghana Boxing Authority to Repatriate Late Nigerian Boxer Gabriel Oluwasegun on June 17

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has confirmed that the body of late Nigerian boxer Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju will be repatriated to Lagos on June 17, 2025, marking a respectful close to the tragic events that unfolded earlier this year. 1. Tragic Passing & Official Confirmation Gabriel Oluwasegun collapsed and died in March 2025 during a bout at Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra. His death was later confirmed by the GBA, which initiated an official inquiry through a seven-member committee to examine the cause of death . 2.
