Atuabo Gas Plant to Shut Down for Maintenance in Aug 2025
The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has confirmed plans for a scheduled maintenance shutdown at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant, set to take place from August 16 to 30, 2025. In an official statement signed by Ministry Spokesperson Richmond Rockson, it was revealed that the shutdown—initiated at the request of the Ghana National Gas Company—will involve thorough inspections, essential repairs, and key system upgrades. These actions aim to boost the plant’s overall efficiency and long-term reliability. During this two-week period, gas supply from the facility will be temporarily halted.
