Gospel singer ‘Omije Ojumi’ for burial January 21

The family of late gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known by her hit song “Omije Ojumi”, has announced that her burial will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. The respected minister of songs died on January 12 after a prolonged battle with a serious leg ailment that had earlier prompted public calls for prayers from fans and fellow gospel artists.​ According to the released programme, the funeral rites will begin on Tuesday, January 20, with a service of songs at the LTV 8 Ground, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. The final funeral rites for the legendary Ghanaian actor Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis are scheduled to take place on Friday, January 24, 2025.A laying-in-state ceremony will be held on the evening of Thursday, January 23, at his family home in James Town, near Mantse Agbonaa.
