PSG Nantes clash moved to boost Chelsea tie

Paris Saint Germain’s Ligue 1 home match against Nantes has been moved to give the French champions more rest between their Champions League last 16 games against Chelsea. PSG were originally scheduled to host relegation threatened Nantes on the weekend of March 13 to 15, between the first leg against Chelsea on March 11 and the return leg at Stamford Bridge on March 17. The Ligue de Football Professionnel said its board, with the agreement of Nantes, approved PSG’s request to reschedule the fixture to the week of April 20. The league explained that the change was granted to allow PSG to prepare in the best possible conditions for their two legged Champions League tie with the Premier League side. De Zerbi parts ways with Marseille after heavy PSG defeat

Roberto De Zerbi has left his role as Marseille head coach by mutual consent. The decision comes days after a 5-0 thrashing by Paris Saint-Germain and a Champions League exit following a 3-0 defeat to Club Brugge.​ The Italian coach took charge in the summer of 2024 after leaving Brighton, where he spent almost two years. AS Monaco have left Paul Pogba out of their Champions League squad for the knockout rounds to create space for new January signings.​ According to ESPN, the club chose to register recent arrivals Simon Adingra and Wout Faes instead, with both expected to play key roles in the upcoming playoff ties against Paris Saint Germain later this month.​ Pogba, who turns 33 next month, has endured a difficult season marked by injuries and very limited game time.
