GH¢3.7bn Debt Crisis Hits Defence Ministry, Food Suppliers Threaten to Halt Services
The Ghana Defence Ministry is currently facing a debt crisis, with a staggering GH¢3.7 billion in liabilities, which include debts to food suppliers and costs related to the procurement and repair of military equipment.One of the most pressing issues is the GH¢275 million owed to food suppliers, dating back 17 months, putting the sustenance of the Ghana Armed Forces at risk.
