Nigeria coach accepts underdog respect from Mozambique
Mozambique head coach Chiquinho Conde has backed his players to compete strongly against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16, even as he accepts that the Super Eagles are favourites. He described Nigeria as the stronger side but stressed that Mozambique would approach the knockout tie with humility, calmness and responsibility. Conde said Mozambique had already shown they are a strong and competent team during the group stage, despite narrow setbacks against heavyweights like Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon.
