Le ministère de la Sécurité et de la Protection civile du Togo a organisé le 18 février 2026 une cérémonie de restitution de douze véhicules de luxe, initialement volés aux États-Unis et retrouvés sur le territoire togolais. Ces voitures ont été remises officiellement aux autorités américaines, après leur localisation par les services togolais. L’opération illustre la vigilance des forces de sécurité et leur engagement à protéger le hub logistique de Lomé contre les trafics transnationaux. La cérémonie a également mis en avant la coopération entre le Togo, Interpol et le FBI, avec la remise symbolique des clés au représentant régional du FBI. Les autorités ont souligné l’importance de ce partenariat opérationnel pour renforcer la lutte contre la criminalité internationale et contrer les réseaux criminels mondiaux.
