Marrying into hostile families not worth it says Omotola
Veteran actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has advised people in relationships to be cautious about marrying into families that clearly dislike or resist them. She said persistent hostility from in laws can make an already demanding marriage even harder to sustain. Speaking on The Morayo Show, she urged partners first to do everything possible to build understanding and trust with a disapproving family. However, she noted that some parents remain determined not to like a spouse because of prejudice, ethnic bias or long held personal opinions. Omotola explained that when relatives have made up their minds against someone, there may be nothing more the person can do to change their views.
