Kenya’s Kering wins 2026 Lagos City Marathon
Kenyan athlete Ezra Kipchumba Kering has won the 2026 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, crossing the finish line in 2 hours 11 minutes 55 seconds. The race, which covered the standard 42 kilometre marathon distance, finished at Eko Atlantic City in Lagos. Kering’s victory at the 11th edition of the event earned him the top prize of 50,000 dollars. The organisers praised his strong performance and described his run as a display of focus and endurance. Ugandan runners claimed the second and third positions in the men’s elite category in a historic shift for the race.
