Colombia sends troops to Venezuela border after US strikes
Colombian President Gustavo Petro says he has ordered the deployment of military forces to the country’s border with Venezuela following U.S. attacks that Washington says led to the capture of President Nicolás Maduro.Petro described the U.S. action as an assault on Latin America’s sovereignty and warned it could trigger a humanitarian crisis, even as he called for the situation to be resolved through dialogue.
