In an interview on Daybreak Hitz, Sadiq expressed his hope that Boamah, who has contested the results, would accept the people's decision and shift focus to future endeavors. While acknowledging Boamah's political experience, Sadiq emphasized the people's desire for change. In the final tally, Sadiq won with 15,383 votes, narrowly defeating Boamah, who secured 14,949 votes.
