Ejura Reclaims 15,000 Acres of Farmland from Government.
On December 4, 2024, the Government of Ghana handed over 15,000 acres of farmland to the Ejura community. The ceremony, led by Minister of Public Enterprises Hon. Joseph Cudjoe and SIGA Director-General Mr. John Boadu, was hosted by Nana Barima Osei Hwedie II, the Ejurahene, at a durbar attended by chiefs, community members, and stakeholders.Mr. Boadu highlighted the effort that led to the milestone, recounting engagements with the presidency to delist the farmland from a Cabinet Memorandum on defunct assets. The Ejurahene expressed gratitude to the government for fulfilling the community's long-standing request, calling it a major step for agricultural and regional development.The event ended with the community praising the government’s intervention and receiving documentation to reclaim the land.
