Police Strengthen School Protection Mechanism in Katsina
The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Bello Shehu, has directed the School Protection Squad coordinator to activate all available mechanisms to safeguard students and staff across the state’s schools. At a recent meeting with tactical commanders, Shehu ordered the deployment of additional police resources, in line with the Inspector General of Police’s directive to prioritize school and student security throughout Katsina. Shehu also called on the public to actively support police efforts by reporting suspicious activities or threats using provided emergency lines (08159677777, 07072722539, 09022209690). The initiative aims to address mounting insecurity and recent high-profile school abductions, emphasizing community vigilance as vital to long-term school safety.
