Speaking on BBC's Newsday on December 9, 2024, Lydia remarked that voters are moving away from tribal or party loyalty and are now prioritizing accountability and delivery from their leaders.The actress linked the defeat of the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) to public dissatisfaction over governance issues, particularly among the youth.
