NDC Supporters Jubilate in Kumasi Ahead of EC’s Declaration.
Hundreds of enthusiastic National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters filled the streets of Kumasi yesterday in anticipation of John Dramani Mahama being declared Ghana’s president-elect. The celebrations erupted in communities such as Atonsu, Esereso, Oforikrom, Asawase, and Aboabo.Supporters, convinced of their party’s lead based on provisional figures, danced and paraded on motorbikes, tricycles, and moving vehicles while blaring music, including the popular track Aseda by King Paluta.Traffic congestion became a challenge as jubilant crowds spilled onto major roads, with some assisting in directing vehicles to avoid gridlocks.
