Ghana Eyes Tech Partnerships for Transport Upgrade

Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has announced plans to integrate technology into Ghana’s transport sector through strategic partnerships. He, however, emphasized that operational oversight will remain under the Ministry of Transport. “We will ensure that any relevant technological conversation is well aligned, but the Transport Ministry will lead on operational matters,” Mr. George said during a meeting with officials from Yango, the Ministry of Transport, and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) on Friday, August 15, 2025. DVLA Inaugurates New Greater Accra Office.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has officially inaugurated its newly constructed Greater Accra regional office, which aims to enhance service delivery and meet the growing demands of clients in the region.
