NDLEA Snaps Up Drug Carrier at MMIA The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 43-year-old woman , Mary Adekoyo , at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos , for carrying 2.20 kilograms of cocaine concealed in her suitcase. She was apprehended on Monday, June 16, 2025 , just before boarding a Qatar Airways flight to India via Doha . According to NDLEA Spokesman Femi Babafemi , the arrest followed credible intelligence and careful surveillance. “We placed her under watch, allowed her to check in her luggage, then intercepted her at the boarding gate.” Cocaine Hidden Inside Suitcase Walls During a search of Adekoya’s bag, agents found two large parcels of cocaine weighing 2.20kg hidden within the inner linings of the suitcase .
