Two Nannies Accused of Drugging Twin Toddlers Granted GH¢100,000 Bail in Accra
Two nannies accused of administering sleep-inducing medication to their employer’s twin toddlers have appeared before the District Court in Accra. The accused, Francisca Boakye (30), unemployed, and Harriet Ansah (31), a nanny, face two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime and four counts of causing harm. Both pleaded not guilty. The court granted them bail of GH¢100,000 each, with two sureties to be justified by landed property, and ordered them to reappear on November 27, 2025. According to prosecutors, the complainant, a businesswoman living in East Legon, employed the two as live-in nannies.
