Pharmacy Council v. Daniel Owusu Koranteng and Multimedia: Court Allows Case to Proceed
An Accra High Court has ruled that the case involving the Pharmacy Council and investigative journalist Daniel Owusu Koranteng, along with Multimedia Group, will continue its legal proceedings.The case concerns the airing of a documentary titled "Drug Store License For Sale," produced by Koranteng, which exposes the alleged illegal issuance of licenses for over-the-counter medication shops. The documentary, produced by Koranteng, highlights claims that officials demanded bribes of up to 15,000 to facilitate the issuance of these licenses.Koranteng’s legal team had previously filed a motion to have the case dismissed, but the court proceedings on Friday, March 21, 2025, allowed the case to continue.
