Kidnapped Kaduna councillor regains freedom after 4 days

A councillor representing Gwantu Ward in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, David Ali, has been released after spending four days in the custody of kidnappers. Ali was abducted late Thursday night when five armed men stormed his residence in Gwantu town and whisked him away in the presence of his family, causing panic across the community. Confirming the development on Tuesday, the Chairman of Sanga LGA, Anto Usman, told PUNCH Online that the councillor was freed between 8 and 9 p.m. on Monday.
