FDA Hosts Workshop to Strengthen Food Safety Surveillance in Ghana.

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana has initiated a crucial training workshop focused on enhancing food safety event surveillance and response within the country's healthcare system. Led by Mrs. Faustina Atupra, the workshop aims to empower healthcare personnel with the skills needed to detect, report, and respond effectively to foodborne disease outbreaks.Aligned with the Public Health Act of 2012, which mandates healthcare providers to report suspected foodborne illnesses, this program seeks to improve food safety monitoring, particularly in the Greater Accra Region.
