ICPC raids El Rufai’s Abuja home amid corruption probe
Operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission have searched the Abuja residence of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El Rufai. The raid took place on Thursday while the former governor remained in the custody of the anti graft agency over an ongoing investigation. El Rufai’s media aide, Muyiwa Adekeye, confirmed the operation in a brief statement, saying ICPC officials searched the entire property. His lawyer, Ubong Akpan, condemned the search, describing it as unlawful and a violation of his client’s fundamental rights and due process.
