Police nab 10 suspects for kidnapping, robbery in Imo
The Imo State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects for alleged involvement in kidnapping, armed robbery and cult-related activities in different parts of the state. The suspects were paraded at the command headquarters in Owerri, where police also displayed recovered weapons and stolen items linked to their operations. Police Commissioner Danjuma Aboki said the arrests followed sustained intelligence-led raids and patrols targeting criminal hideouts. He explained that the operations were part of efforts to clamp down on gangs terrorising residents and motorists in the state. Among the exhibits recovered were locally made guns, live ammunition, a pump-action rifle and several vehicles suspected to have been snatched from their owners at gunpoint.
