In a significant development for Ghana’s mining sector, President Nana Akufo-Addo inaugurated the Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited's (CNML) new gold mine in the Talensi District, Upper East. Owned by Chinese firm Shandong Gold Group, this large-scale, open-pit mine has a 15-year operational timeline, aiming to extract 5 million ounces of gold from 150 million tonnes of ore. With a $600 million investment, the project enters the production phase, offering new employment opportunities and regional economic upliftment.
