Suspected Drug Addict Machete Attacks Farmer in Adansi
A 43-year-old man suspected of marijuana use allegedly inflicted machete wounds on a 45-year-old farmer at Kwame Nkyi Village in the Adansi South District, critically injuring him in an unprovoked attack. What We Found On July 29, 2025, Kwame Abam, aged 43, reportedly returned from his farm, used marijuana, then attacked Jojo—the farmer—while he slept outside his home. The assault was unprovoked, and the victim sustained serious injuries. The attacker attempted to flee but was captured and beaten by community members; he is now in police custody and receiving treatment at New Edubiase Government Hospital. The victim was rushed from Edubiase Government Hospital to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention, where his condition remains critical.
