Residents of Western Region Demand Completion of Abandoned School Projects.
Residents of the Western Region, particularly in the Shama District, are raising concerns over the increasing number of abandoned infrastructure projects, especially in the education sector. Opinion leaders are calling on authorities to prioritize the completion of stalled school projects, as these delays negatively impact teaching and learning. One example is the Ohiamadwen D/A Primary, where a teachers' bungalow started under the NDC government in 2015 was abandoned following their loss in the 2016 elections. Another is a three-unit classroom block for Assorko Junior High School, initiated by former MP Ato Panford and the Shama District Assembly in 2019.
