A mining accident at Ajirija lead site in Ihietutu, Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has claimed the lives of two miners and left three others critically injured. The incident, which occurred over the weekend, involved a pit reportedly managed by Mrs. Lovelyn Victor, an indigene of the community. The site itself is owned by Henry Ahanaotu, who allegedly leased portions of it to unlicensed small-scale miners operating without professional oversight.
